Business Travel
Concerning business travel, STEFFCA records
emissions arising from employee transportation for
work-related activities, utilizing third-party operated
vehicles such as cars, airplanes, trains, and boats.
When calculating emissions from 昀氀ights, the emission factor per person-kilometer from EAA & TUMI
was used. The total emissions of this subcategory were equal to 2,660 kg CO2e. This outcome is
in昀氀uenced by the amount of travel and number of
passengers the company experienced throughout
the reporting year, compounded by the emission
intensity associated with air travel.
Employee commuting
This subcategory includes the emissions generated
from employee commutes taking place with a car
between the workplace and home. The emission
factors used for this distance-based method were
from EEA and TUMI. A total of approximately 15,155
kg CO2e were generated by employee commuting.
Leased Assets
STEFFCA has no leased assets.
Fuel & Energy-related activities
STEFFCA’s Scope 3 emissions for fuel- and energy-related activities encompass a broad spectrum,
extending beyond on-site consumption. These emissions do not account for the electricity and heating
consumption, and fuel for vehicles but encompass
the upstream activities involved in the extraction,
processing, and transportation of fuels.
Additionally, they encompass transmission and
distribution losses in the electricity supply chain and
district heating distribution losses. The total GHG
emissions from fuel- and energy-related activities
in 2023 were equal to 50,939 kg CO2e.
STEFFCA is dedicated to addressing the holistic
environmental impact of its energy footprint, from
source to end-use, by exploring cleaner energy
sources, enhancing energy ef昀椀ciency, and actively
engaging in strategies to reduce emissions throughout the entire energy supply chain.
Waste generated in operations
Within this subcategory, emissions are accounted
for based on the responsible disposal and treatment
of waste resulting from STEFFCA's daily operations.
The emission factor used is sourced from Exiobase
(waste-type speci昀椀c method). The emissions from
this subcategory were equal to 12,342 kg CO2e in
2023.
