STEFFCA'S EMISSIONS
- SCOPE 1
As part of STEFFCA’s dedication to a greener future,
the company prioritises measuring, reporting, and
mitigating Scope 1 and Scope 2 GHG emissions.
At STEFFCA, Scope 1 consists of combustion emissions from company vehicles, including diesel and
gasoline fuel, as well as combustion emissions from
natural gas.
During the reporting period, STEFFCA’s total Scope
1 GHG emissions amounted to 70,305 kilograms of
CO2e.
These emissions primarily originate from the company’s vehicle usage, with 86% resulting from the
combustion of diesel and gasoline. The remaining
14% is attributed to the stationary combustion of
natural gas for heating purposes.
To address these emissions, STEFFCA is actively
exploring strategies to reduce its carbon footprint.

Initiatives include transitioning to more fuel-ef昀椀cient
vehicles, investing in hybrid or electric alternatives,
and optimizing route planning to minimize fuel consumption.
STEFFCA mainly heats their production halls with
the surplus heat from the machine park, which is
channeled to other halls to be used for heating
purposes. Although this represents a relatively
small proportion of the total energy consumption,
STEFFCA wants to 昀椀nd energy-ef昀椀cient solutions
and is investigating ways to minimise its footprint.
Additionally, STEFFCA could consider improvements
in building insulation and the adoption of renewable
energy sources for heating to further reduce natural
gas usage.
The table provides a detailed breakdown of emissions by fuel type, highlighting the areas with the
highest impact and potential for improvement.
