Conclusions
The response rate, as well as the comments,
show that members continue to be engaged
in and passionate about the work of the DDAI.
Members were both very clear on the DDAI’s
purpose and that it continues to be the right
one. This allows the Board and Executive to
continue to steer the direction of the DDAI in the
full knowledge that they are doing so with the
explicit support of members.
Equally, as the Board and Executive set out
the Strategic Priorities for the 3 years of the
Strategic Plan, it is important that they do so
on the basis of member priorities. This survey

Staff Workshop
Staff were engaged through a series of
workshops in Ballindine which were very fruitful
and provided both background to the Strategic
Planning process and the direction of the DDAI.
Staff are an integral part of the DDAI with many
staff having over 15 years of service. Whether
it is in the administration of Parking Permits,
providing Information and Advice or manning
Shopmobility, staff see their role as delivering on
the DDAI purpose of promoting independence
through driving.
