Global trading continues to face volatility, with postpandemic, post-Brexit headwinds and supply chain
disruption. This, coupled with ongoing global con昀氀icts
add to the uncertainty faced by our exporters.
Staffordshire enjoys exceptional connectivity to other
parts of the UK but more of our local businesses need
to seize the opportunities afforded by exporting goods
and services overseas, to develop a truly Global
Staffordshire.
Actions for us
•
To actively support an additional 200 businesses
in ongoing exporting activity and to unlock new
overseas markets for exporting and importing
and empower businesses to take advantage,
leveraging the power and connections of the
British Chambers of Commerce network.
•
To further develop collaboration and promotion of
the Export Academy, through partnership working
with Department of Business & Trade (DBT) to
ensure our businesses are fully utilising all the
support available to them.
•
To promote Staffordshire, through the ‘We Are
Staffordshire’ brand on the global stage and
encourage overseas investment and trade
between our county and countries across
the world.
•
To utilise our increasing reach of Daily Focus to
promote the area and celebrate the successes
of our businesses.
