Digital Staffordshire
Collaboration, Inclusivity
and Exploiting Digital
The evolving landscape of digital technology
continues to in昀氀uence the way businesses operate,
yet there remains a sizeable segment of our
population still grappling with digital poverty.
While cyber-attacks pose a tangible threat to the
business community and end users, a signi昀椀cant
number of businesses remain unaware of the
potentially devastating repercussions of such attacks.
Larger businesses may have some understanding of
how to make their best use of new technologies whilst
many SME can struggle to deliver real bene昀椀ts from
the available technologies.
Actions for us
•
Promote innovative infrastructure/communication
technologies to exploit commercial opportunities
in the digital ecosystem, sharing best practise
case studies of digital innovations, technologies
and processes.
•
To provide training and links to other businesses
so we can upskill local businesses and learn from
the innovation and experience of other local 昀椀rms.
•
Develop and champion a joined-up strategy
with the clear aim of tackling digital poverty in
our county and improving digital connectivity in
our rural areas, creating a more digitally inclusive
world, linking with the circular economy.
•
To upskill the current and future workforce
including basic digital skills and emerging
technologies, linked to the Stoke-on-Trent
and Staffordshire Local Skills Improvement
Plan (LSIP).
