Our team
Our paediatric nurses have advanced
training in the specific needs of children
and young people with special health
care needs. They build relationships and
collaborate with community and specialist
nurses, physicians and related health
professionals to establish individualised
care plans for the children.
We have longstanding links to Great
Ormond Street Hospital and Princess
Alexandra Hospital. Our Specialist
Epilepsy Nurse plays a key role in liaising
with both teams as well as facilitating
epilepsy learning spaces and specialist
training to our care staff.
Our general practice nurses regularly
review children9s health and medication
to ensure best practice, facilitate any
changes to needs or presentation as
well as offering support and workshops
to care staff.
All of our children9s homes have a
dedicated link nurse and liaise closely
with our therapy team, ensuring a
consistent, multi-disciplinary approach to
care.
Our night nurses provide continuity of care throughout the night, and are
readily available to provide support at any hour.
