Day Opportunities
FAQs
Who organises transport to and from Day Opportunities?
Day Opportunities aren9t involved in this element of service. Normally family
members / carers transport or the local authority may provide this service.
When are you open?
We are open from 9am – 4.30pm, Monday - Friday all year round with the
exception of Bank Holidays and a week shutdown between Christmas and
New Year.
What if I/we are not happy with the service?
We hope you will be happy, but we know from time to time things may not go
to plan so the first thing is to talk to us about the reason why you9re not
happy. We will do our best to resolve any issues as quickly as possible. If this
isn9t possible, we have a compliments and complaints policy, which includes
8grumbles9 forms.
What equipment do we need to bring/provide?
Depending on the individuals needs they may need to bring any specialist
equipment that they require. When attending activities they may require
additional items such as swimwear and towel, outdoor wear and money for
purchases whilst in the community
Can I increase the number of days my loved one attends?
Yes absolutely. We will need to look at what activity / programme and make
sure we have the right resources, including staffing and spaces but we would
be very happy to explore this with you.
How do lunch times work, do I need to bring a packed lunch?
Individuals have access to our on-site canteen and hot lunches can be
provided. Some individuals may also choose to bring in their own lunches.
