From fearful to thriving
Eyeleen
Eyeleen was originally rescued from a kill pen by a good
Samaritan. Despite the owner’s best intentions, she was
unable to care for Eyeleen as she was emaciated, extremely
fearful of people, and had developed an eye infection.
The good Samaritan surrendered Eyeleen to the SPCA of
Texas, and our veterinarian created a treatment plan for
her eye care. This consisted of two months of medications,
placed directly into Eyeleen’s eye, three times a day. In
working so closely with our staff, Eyeleen overcame her fear
of people and started to thrive socially. She started to shine,
displayed her fun personality and became a staff favorite.
After her treatment was complete, the SPCA of Texas
reached out to the Cleveland Armory Black Beauty Ranch,
who gladly received Eyeleen. We are so glad that Eyeleen
can live out her life happily and healthily in her new home!
