Rehab.Healing HeartsLife for Janie has gotten much easier since she came to the SPCA of Texas. At the end of July, the 5-year-oldlab mix was rescued from animal cruelty. This sweet girl’s entire body was practically hairless, and her legs wereswollen, red and had open sores. She received extensive treatment at the SPCA of Texas. In fact, her case wasso severe that she needed additional care from a specialist. Thanks to donors, we were able to get Janie the helpshe so badly needed, and after several months in foster care, Janie has the right combination of medication tohelp her lead a wonderful life.Janie no longer suffers from skin inflammation and itching, and her fur is slowly growing back. She is feelingbetter than ever as vets, staff and her foster mom, Laura continue to provide her with the best of care.
