LET’S FIX THIS
Southern Dallas Pet Initiative
The SPCA of Texas works with our community to keep pets in their homes, off the streets and out of shelters through our comprehensive Community Pet
Program. The program was created in 2016 and provides a variety of services to assist underserved communities.
The Southern Dallas Pet Initiative provides free spay/neuter services to pets in 23 southern Dallas zip codes, as well as hosts Community Wellness Events
with free vaccinations and wellness exams. From April 2017 through December 2018 the program also served dogs seized from Animal Cruelty Investigations
in the 23 zip codes which added 244 surgeries. Beginning in December 2018 we went from servicing dogs and cats to only dogs. This program is made
possible because of you, our generous donors, funders and supporters.
Primary Funders Include: Rees-Jones Foundation; W.W. Caruth, Jr. Foundation; and The Dallas Foundation
