Mitsui & Co., Ltd. will be pursuing sustainability management
and the evolution of ESG as the basis of Transform & Grow. With
respect to climate change in particular, as part of Mitsui’s Goals
in 2050, it has set a goal of achieving net-zero emissions by that
year, making it the first sogo shosha to set such a goal. As a
pathway to Mitsui’s Goals, it has set a milestone of reducing its
GHG impact by 50% in 2030, compared to 2020.
