INTRODUCTION
Terratech Group AB has established itself as a leader in
enhancing the e昀케ciency and sustainability of excavator
operations globally. Our primary contribution to
environmental improvement is through equipping
excavators with advanced tiltrotators, fully automatic
quick couplers and optimized attachments, increasing
e昀케ciency by 20 to 40 percent compared to traditional
excavators. This enhancement translates directly into
reduced fuel consumption, decreased machinery
movements on job sites, and minimized wear and
tear, thus furthering positive environmental impacts.
During 2023, a lot of focus was put on consolidation
and growth despite a signi昀椀cantly slower business
climate during the second half of the year.
In Sjørring we 昀椀nished the creation of the Work Tool
Hub as well as invested in new production lines
for increased capacity. The new setup allows us to
optimize transportation and be close to our customers
as sustainability is becoming more important also for
our customers.
At SVAB a lot of e昀昀ort went into the new production
line that was operational during 2023 as well as
building the new factory and the company moved
from Hallsberg to Åsbro in the beginning of 2024.
At the same time a signi昀椀cant amount of resources
was put into product development of future control
systems and the successor to the world leading L8
joystick, the A9 joystick was presented early 2024.
In Steelwrist the global expansion continued, and a
lot of e昀昀orts went into preparing for the launch of the
third generation tiltrotator, the XTR-series as well as
the XR-series of rotor couplers. A new after-market
portal with serial number search was created, the
Rosersberg facilities were BREEAM rated as "Excellent"
and Steelwrist was for the fourth consecutive year
awarded with the “Best Managed Company” award by
Deloitte.
Internally, we have restructured our ESG organization,
establishing a dedicated management body and
forming specialized work groups within our
subsidiaries. This reorganization aims to streamline
our e昀昀orts towards achieving net-zero emissions,
eliminating workplace accidents, and promoting
responsible business practices.
We continued to advance the global Open-S standard,
enhancing work tool interchangeability, thereby
increasing excavator versatility and e昀케ciency, which
bene昀椀ts both customers and the environment.
Our sustainability e昀昀orts are ingrained in our daily
operations, as evidenced by our consistent focus on
product development, collaboration with customers,
and adherence to ISO standards. By designing
optimized, versatile solutions and maintaining e昀케cient
manufacturing and supply chain processes, we are
committed to reducing our environmental footprint
and operational costs while prolonging the life of
construction machinery.
This report, our fourth sustainability report, re昀氀ects our
ongoing commitment to integrating sustainability into
our core business practices, with a robust pipeline of
initiatives aimed at driving further progress. Terratech
remains dedicated to enhancing excavator e昀케ciency
and safety, contributing signi昀椀cantly to a more
sustainable and competitive future for our customers
and stakeholders.
