3.3.1. Safety for our customers and end users
Without safe and satis昀椀ed customers, it is impossible to
develop the company, our co-workers and our products.
We regularly do customer surveys in order to get
feedback on our products and our performance. In a
survey performed in the autumn of 2022 among experienced Steelwrist users some 82% considered that
a Steelwrist “Makes work safer for me and my team”.
One often underestimated factor is the last response in
the survey indicating that 96% of experienced Steelwrist
users think that “My job is more fun”. This is obviously
important for our customers as the search for new
employees in many cases with scarcity of skilled operators.
We always aim to o昀昀er a safe and secure setting
when installing our products at the customer production site or on site at the end user. To achieve
this our support team is readily available by phone or
on site and parts can be searched via our new Aftermarket Portal that was launched in 2023.
Another of our R&D projects performed during 2023
has resulted in the InstallMate app whereby installation guides will be provided in a multitude of languages thus safeguarding that installations are done
according to speci昀椀cations and in a safe way.
3.3.2. Health and safety at our facilities
Terratech works to e a safe and stimulating work environment for our co-workers. The total number of
employees remained almost 昀氀at with 448 employees
in the group at the end of 2023.
When comparing sick leave on a total level a slight
decrease to 4,4% can be noted. During 2023 a
number of actions have been undertaken in order
to improve safety and we continue as well to improve the routines for following up both incidents
and accidents. Sjørring has replaced jib cranes
with overhead cranes and also Steelwrist improved
lifting facilities within assembly. In addition, work
has been performed in order to reduce risk of chemical impact.
At SVAB a major focus has obviously been very much
related to the new factory in Åsbro which was inaugurated early 2024. The goal has been to build a stateof-the-art workplace as far as safety is concerned.

SICK LEAVE PER YEAR IN PERCENT
The number of accidents and incidents in total decreased by about 4% between 2022 and 2023, however
despite work to reduce risks the number of accidents
actually increased from 15 in 2022 to 25 in 2023,
while the number of incidents were reduced from
34 to 28. The numbers now include Sjørring as well
as Steelwrist subsidiaries abroad.
We constantly follow up and monitor safety rounds,
incidents and accidents in order to develop preventive measures for improved safety for our co-workers.
The fact that accidents actually increasedis obviously not satisfactory and we will continue e昀昀orts with
our goal of moving towards zero accidents.
All Terratech employees undergo a medical review
on a regular basis and further training on safety related matters will be done during 2024. The process
of preparing for a future ISO45001 certi昀椀cation is
ongoing. Other than incidents and accidents, we
also measure the sick leave as a percentage of total
work days.
