CCR&R9s Expertise in the Field
CCR&R9s vision has always been to come alongside educators
and empower them in their work. Ashley Tomlin, one of
CCR&R9s Inclusion Coaches, recently had an opportunity to
do just that when she was asked to observe a child who was
exhibiting behavioral issues. Ashley thought the problem
may be that the child was deaf. She assisted the educator in
communicating with the family and, after some hesitation,
the family agreed to a hearing test. The child had partial
hearing loss in one ear and was almost fully deaf in the other
ear. Ashley was able to connect the family to Tennessee Early
Intervention System, and the child can now have the best
possible chance for success moving forward.
