Early Childhood Morning Academic Program
(Ages 3 – 4)
Note: This is a three-hour program.
The Early Childhood Morning Academic Program, a three-hour session for children 3 to 5 years of age, is coordinated
to offer a well-planned early childhood learning experience. The Montessori philosophy and methods are applied to
students in an individualized approach to match each child’s learning profile. The curriculum includes: Practical Life,
Sensorial, Oral Language, Beginning Written Language, Math, Literature and Social Skills.
(CHILD MUST BE TOILET TRAINED.) Athletic shoes are required.
Kindergarten Morning Academic Program
(Ages 5 – 6)
Note: This is a three-hour program.
The Kindergarten Morning Academic Program, a three-hour session for children 5 to 6 years of age, is coordinated to
offer a well-planned, early childhood learning experience. The Montessori philosophy and methods are applied to
students in an individualized approach to match each child’s learning profile. The curriculum includes: Practical Life,
Sensorial, Oral and Written Language, Math, Science, Social Studies, Literature and Social Skills. Athletic shoes are
required.
Primary Morning Academic Program
Grades 1 – 2
Note: This is a three-hour program.
The Primary Morning Academic Program is a three-hour session for children entering 1st or 2nd grade. The Montessori
philosophy and methods are applied to students in a multi-age classroom using an individualized approach to match
each child’s learning profile. Classes incorporated into the morning session are: Practical Life, Sensorial, Oral Language,
Reading, Written Language, Math, Literature and Social Skills. This program also introduces listening skills and general
language skills in preparation for first or second grade.
Elementary Morning Academic Program
Grades 3 – 4
Note: This is a three-hour program.
The Elementary Morning Program, for students entering the 3rd or 4th grade, is a three-hour multi-age session. The
Montessori philosophy and methods are applied to students in a multi-age classroom using an individualized approach
to match each child’s learning profile. Classes incorporated into the morning sessions are:
Reading, Math and English.
• Reading: develops reading skills through the use of auditory discrimination and application of phonetic word attack
skills. In addition, students work on enriching comprehension skills.
• Math: uses a multisensory approach to math with the use of manipulatives.
• English: emphasizes listening and organizational skills as well as English concepts and written expression.
