Students will learn how to perform first aid/CPR on adults, children and infants and how to prepare for natural disasters.
They will learn to bandage and splint an injury, and how to respond to emergency situations. We will create home
emergency plans and learn valuable tips for home safety. Prevention of accidents will be taught as well. This is a fun and
valuable class for all!
Great Grammar
Grades 7 – 8
Everything students need to know about the basics of grammar will be covered in this class through the use of a
structured, multisensory approach known as Winston Grammar. This class will begin with articles, nouns, pronouns,
verbs, and build as far as the class can go. Students will be taught the structure of grammar and will develop an
understanding that each part of speech is like an individual puzzle piece that can be connected to create a masterpiece.

Alphabetic Phonics (AP) or Sequential English Education (SEE)
Grades 5 – 8
Note: This one-hour class is only for new students or current students new to AP or SEE.

spelling skills. Approval by the administrative staff is required.
LEGO® Mechanics Mania
Grades 5 – 6
Using the BricQ Motion Prime kit, students will work together designing mechanisms that create a swinging gymnast on
a pendulum, send a skier down the slope, strike one ball against another to score like a game of pool, and shoot a soccer
ball into the goal.
Makerspace
Grades 3 – 5
Is your child curious, always looking for something new to discover, create, explore and make connections? The
Makerspace is the ultimate workshop that provides a hands-on approach to designing and creating. Students will design
and create a multiple dimensional project inspired by a book. For example, using Welcome to Mars, students will plan a
trip to Mars and build a shelter to live in when they get there. Modeling after Nobel Peace Prize winner Wangari Maathai,
students will plant tree seedlings, recycle coffee pods, and mix up seed bombs. This is guaranteed fun and practical
learning for everyone.
Math Foundations

This class will review and drill the concepts of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of whole numbers,
fractions, decimals, and integers. Each concept will be introduced through the use of multisensory materials. Other
