The Shelton Model
Shelton is a world leader in advancing the understanding of learning
differences. For more than 45 years, we have been the turning point
toward success for thousands of students. At Shelton, we understand,
nurture and empower these intelligent students who learn differently.
Increasingly, more and more children in the United States are being
diagnosed with learning differences. These children often experience
low self-concepts and a misunderstanding of what it means to learn
differently. At Shelton, learning differences are not viewed as obstacles
to overcome but opportunities to empower differently.
The Shelton model includes an individualized approach to academics
and ample enrichment opportunities, allowing students to discover their
own unique niche and self-worth. Shelton students become secure
about their self-image and leave our programs happy, self-motivated
