SHELTON MONTESSORI TRAINING
SMT offers dynamic and rigorous Montessori courses to prepare educators to implement
Montessori education with fidelity in both public and private sectors. Our program offers a unique
online component to provide flexibility and convenience, while the in-residence component offers
hands-on experiential learning within the traditional Montessori pedagogy. Our Early Childhood,
Elementary I, Elementary I-II, and Elementary II Stand Alone courses are affiliated by the American
Montessori Society and accredited by MACTE. We also offer AMS affiliated Administrator
credential and the AMS Montessori Inclusion Endorsement. The American Montessori Society
(AMS) offers a credential to those who meet the admission requirements and complete course
requirements.
SMT has been offering Montessori Applied to Children At Risk (MACAR) training for over 2
decades to support the credentialed teachers to meet the unique needs of children in their
classroom. Additionally, SMT offers customized professional development sessions to
enhance the ability of Montessori guides, administrators, and support staff to serve
students within their Montessori environment.
