Teaching Level Practicum I (EDUC 6340)
Required for Certification
Minimum of 5 Demonstration Lessons
Ongoing Mentor Support
60 Clinical Teaching Hours
Minimum of 9-Month Period
Maximum of 2 Years
Prior to enrolling in the
Therapy Level course,
participants must complete
the corresponding SARA Take Flight Teaching Level
course. The coursework
and practicum satisfy all
requirements for the ALTA
Competency Exam at the
Dyslexia Therapist Level. A
master8s degree is required
for Therapy Level
Certification through ALTA
by completion of the
coursework and practicum
and is required by the state
of Texas to be a Licensed
Dyslexia Therapist.
