The use of settlement tanks
is becoming more critical for
applications where water with fines
is to be discharged into a water
course. The Environmental Agency
is enforcing the requirement to
separate solids before discharging.
These silt bags offer a quick, simple
and cost effective solution to the
on-going environmental issue of
removing suspended solids from
pumped water on civil engineering
and construction projects.

The 1500 gallon tank shown below is
suitable for 150mm pumps.
Simply attach the silt bag to the
end of the discharge hose or onto
a settlement tank. The solids (up to
100 microns) are retained in the silt
bag allowing the water to flow away
