to fenceline communities in
KwaZulu-Natal

motivate and educate communities on marine
and environmental issues. The hands-on
approach includes shark dissection – presenting
amazing facts and figures relating to sharks,
marine conservation and marine science
matters. Sasol employees participated in the
show and number of learners were reached at
Sasol Techno X which was attended by
approximately 26 000 learners.
Sasol has assisted mitigating the spread of COVID-19 in areas of
KwaZulu-Natal by donating personal protective equipment
(PPE) and hand sanitiser to communities-in-need adjacent to
its operations.
These communities, such as Wentworth, are critical to Sasol’s
ongoing viability and sustainability. We are committed, not only
to uplifting and supporting these communities, but also
developing local suppliers with whom we can work on a
long-term basis.
Our focus is on sustaining the communities where we do business
and contributing to their long-term socioeconomic success.
To support these communities, Sasol made the following
donations:
Wentworth communities received 2 000 litres of sanitiser
with the help of the South Durban Basin Community
Development Trust.

sanitiser, 2 000 bars of soap, 1 000 gloves and 1 000 masks.
