In promoting the wellbeing of the people of Dipaliseng
and Goven Mbeki Local Municipalities, over 4500 community
members were enabled to access health services through our
HIV/Aids awareness and anti-retroviral treatment campaigns.

people benefitted from
our mobile clinic drives.

Infrastructure development
Sasol eliminated the risk of a sewer pollution that would have negatively
affected the environment by constructing four pump stations in the
Govan Mbeki Local Municipality town of Kinross. 25 people were
employed in the project, 15 of which were initially unskilled labour
and six of which were females. Two local business
opportunities were generated by this project.
Support for the
vulnerable
Sasol completed the installation of electrical substation switchgears and
panels for Lekwa, Dipaleseng and Govan Mbeki Municipalities. This project will
bring stability to the electricity distribution, especially in the eMzinoni area.
Sasol supports the Orphans and Vulnerable
Children Care and Support programme in
Grootvlei. The support includes child cognitive
skills stimulation, caregiver counselling and
social income assistance.
Economic transformation
and local content
The ‘Siyazenzela Youth in Business Entrepreneurship’
programme and I AM PRENEUR support youth-owned
businesses and entrepreneurs still in ideation with business
skills training, coaching and mentoring.
Siyazenzela programme has produced 89
graduates and I AM PRENEUR has
reached over 150 youth entrepreneurs.
