EDUCATION
SOUTH AFRICA
Supported over 180 Early Childhood
Development (ECD) Centres.
More than 2 800 students benefitted from
STEM education support programmes.
Over 300 practitioners, at ECD
centres, trained and supported on site.
Supported 120 teachers in the ‘Partners in
Education’ programme.
More than 26 000 learners
attended our annual STEM exhibition
– Sasol TechnoX.
MOZAMBIQUE
Influenced by our learner- and
teacher-support interventions,
Sasolburg schools obtained a
91,3% matric pass rate and
Secunda learners improved to
72,1% in 2019 academic year.
SKILLS DEVELOPMENT
Awarded approximately 200 new
bursaries to undergraduate and
postgraduate students.

Supporting 22 engineering students currently at
various tertiary institutions.

Funded 10 students to study undergraduate
degrees at the University of Lagos.
MOZAMBIQUE
Over 30 graduates from the Matola Centre
visited our Central Processing Facility as part of
field readiness learning on the ‘Get Energy Field
Ready’ training programme.
NIGERIA
Through our partnership with ‘Junior
Achievement Nigeria’ 301 students in
participated in entrepreneurship training.
NORTH AMERICA, UNITED STATES
More than 270 attendees were reached through
the Louisiana Small Business Development skills
workshops held at McNeese State University
which we support.
