Sports clothing application
Colour is used to evoke emotion and
express personality. It stimulates
brand association and accelerates
differentiation. Ensuring optimum
reproduction of our brand colour is
integral to building our brand.
All sports clothing must be durable
and made with quality materials.
All sports clothing applications shown
are examples intended to demonstrate the
flexibility and consistency of the identity.
• Brand sports clothing that is not aligned
with the company image and attributes.
Even though Sasol has a large colour
palette, these are the only approved
colour palettes for sports clothing.
• Brand merchandise that poses a safety,
security or environmental risk – items
that contain toxic/chemical components.
The sports clothing must always adhere
to the colour specifications set out on
this page.
Spot: Pantone® is the global standard
colour matching system.

Don’t:
Application
Applying our logo to sports clothing
requires careful consideration given
the variety of surfaces and space
limitations. It is especially important
to follow the colour and clear space
guidelines as closely as possible.
If the sports clothing contains a
manufacturer’s label or mark it should
be removed. If it cannot be removed,
the manufacturer’s tag or label may
only appear on the interior of an item
being branded.
Always use approved artwork.
Don’t:
• Alter the logo when branding
an item. Items should only be
branded with an approved logo.
The materials and workmanship should
reflect the high quality standards of the
brand. It is essential to work with high
quality vendors to ensure consistency.
The examples shown here only serve as
a guideline. Wherever possible, materials
of the highest standard should be used.
Always consider the following: quality,
functionality, practicality, comfort,
colour-fastness and style.
The logo may be reproduced by a range
of printing techniques onto a variety of
textiles. These include digital printing,
embroidery, heat transferred print, silk
screening and dye-sublimation.
Colour and clear space specifications must
be followed at all times. Be sure to use
only official artwork and always supply
colour swatches and official artwork to
manufacturers.
Careful consideration should be given when
choosing the colour of the proportion,
keeping the application in mind (e.g white
female running kit is not a wise choice).
