6.3 Overarching principles
Modular grids can be
constructed in two ways:
6.3.1 Standard grid margin
The standard grid margin is the
predominant margin and should
be used as much as possible
(i.e brochures, print ads etc.)
6.3.2 Reduced grid margin
The reduced grid margin should
be used when the standard
border rule takes up too much
of the content area (i.e large
posters, extended landscape
borders etc.)
These two types of grids can
be done in two formats:
• Portrait
• Landscape
