Tints and shades
Complex charts use shades
and tints. This makes the charts
highly distinctive and ads extra
dimension. The tints and shades
must be applied over their
corresponding base colours.
Tints and shades may not be
used to differentiate between
types of information or data.

Colour usage
Shading and typography
Complex charts use the primary,
secondary and tertiary colour
palettes. Tints and shades of these
colours may also be used. This all
serves to give you enough flexibility
to create sufficient differentiation
between types of information and
data as well as making your chart
as rich and engaging as possible.
Primary, secondary and tertiary
palettes are highly functional,
as the colours are used to
differentiate between various
types of data. Tints and shades
may not be used to differentiate
between types of information
or data.
Shading may not be applied to
any shape that has typography
placed within it. When a shape
with typography is attached
to an arrow, the arrow can still
have shading applied to it.
