Sasol bug
The Sasol bug (corner logo) is a static logo
that sits over picture and is comprised of
the molecule signifier and the horizontal
wordmark configuratation. The Sasol bug is
configured to sit within the title-safe area
on High-Definition monitors. The bug is
primarily used in executions where it serves
as a constant placeholder on screens i.e
broadcast; or over any footage that is to
be edited or packaged as Sasol branded/
sponsored communication. The device is
executed in three versions: full colour on
white field, blue lineart, and white lineart.
The blue and white lineart logos may also be
refered to as the “watermark”. Consistency
must be stressed in applying the bug: once
a colour execution has been applied, it must
remain the same version for the duration
of the timeline. Though use of any colour
execution is discretionary, intent must be
considered. For example, use of the white or
blue lineart bugs are less conspicuous than
the full colour bug, and may be considered
for use in external communciations.
