VELCO’s offers a wide variety of benefits, perks and paid time off. The list below provides an introduction
to our offerings; employees should refer to the Employee Manual for full details.
Wellness Benefit
Under VELCO’s Wellness Benefit, you can submit for reimbursement of a wellness expense of up
to $100 annually. Here, is a link with instructions on how to utilize this benefit.
Tuition Reimbursement
Under VELCO’s program, education assistance is provided for courses offered by approved
institutions of learning, such as accredited colleges and universities. Please confirm with your
supervisor and Human Resources before enrolling in any course or degree program for which you
will be seeking reimbursement.
Sustainability Incentive Program
VELCO’s incentive program can be used for home energy and transportation sustainability
measures. This financial benefit is available to all employees and may be used in combination with
any other incentives, manufacturer rebates, government programs, etc., secured by the employee.
Volunteer Time
VELCO grants each employee up to 8 hours of paid time off each year to participate in their
specific volunteer program. Volunteer time must be requested in advance to help the coordination
of other work-related responsibilities.
United Way Give A Day Get A Day
VELCO will give you an extra day of vacation if you elect to give a day’s pay to the UNITED
WAY.
Adoption Benefit
VELCO recognizes that families are formed in a variety of ways, including through adoption. To
support employees who are growing their families in this manner, VELCO provides financial
assistance.
Religious Holiday Swapping
VELCO’s policy allows employees to swap one religion-based holiday where the office is closed for
another religious or cultural holiday of their choosing.
