President’s Letter
Welcome to the 2022 Blue Book. This book is dedicated to you, our faithful donors. Your
commitment to student success has never wavered; your collective generosity provides
needed support to so many inside and outside the Sailfish Point gates. Once again, you have
confirmed as a community the importance of scholarship. Thanks to you we are……

Changing Lives One Scholarship at a Time
The Blue Book celebrates The Foundation's growth and maturity; reviews this year’s
accomplishments and shares the personal stories of our scholars and our donors. I am
pleased to report that the work of the Foundation continues to thrive and adjust to meet
the needs of today’s youth. Important developments occurred within the Foundation during
the past year. First and foremost, in a time of incredible need, your generosity continues
year after year. Thank you for your consistent support. Secondly, after years of partnering
with local charities serving in-need youth with scholarships, the Foundation has returned
to its roots. We now provide 100% of our donated scholarship funds to support employee/
dependent and Martin County students in pursuit of college and vocational programs. This
concentration allows us to provide multi-year scholarships to all; a depth of support that
was not always possible in the past. Third, through our partnership with the Community
Foundation Martin County, St. Lucie, we have developed a new vocational application
which enables us to focus on the needs of vocationally bound students. We have refined our
underwriting model to help us identify the most deserving of applicants, and those with the
most promise of long-term success and our metrics are more refined; donors will better see
how their contributions are changing lives.
Next year The Foundation will celebrate an important milestone. The first class of
Martin County high school college seniors to receive multi-year awards will graduate.
We know these scholars, have helped them achieve
their dreams of a college education and we will
celebrate with them. This is all possible because
of you.
I would like to personally thank the Board of
Directors for their time and consistent dedication
to our mission. Their leadership has guided us
through uncharted territory. Most of all, I would
like to thank each of our donors. Please know
that your generosity is making a difference in
the lives of so many. No one of us can do it alone
but together we can make a lasting impact. We are
stronger and better together.
