QUESTION: Why do you want
to know how much I have
raised for my own charity?
ANSWER: The event is all
about fundraising – the bigger
it is, the bigger the a�rac�on.
We then get more sponsors,
more publicity, etc. For a share
in the ‘Charity Pool’ we must
know.
We also need to know our
e昀昀orts will all have been
worthwhile!
QUESTION: Do you pay any
sta昀昀 to put on this event?
ANSWER: No! The event
planning starts in February each
year, and is en�rely organised by
Rotary Club members, giving
their �me free of charge. On the
day of the event we need in
excess of 150 volunteers, along
with the other local
organisa�ons who help us out
free of charge.
Clearly there are substan�al
costs – ranging from suits and
