Plastic is a major threat to the
environment, people need to
know what they can do.
The Plastic Blitz is a co-operation with Thames 21 and
the Environment Agency to create awareness of the
plastic pollution problem, and that of other rubbish in our
environment - particular in our rivers.
The Plastic Blitz was instigated to measure rubbish
pollution in and around our rivers. To record this data in
a central EU database for ongoing evaluation and
lobbying. The big corporates respond much more
readily when there is a large data set to convince them,
