Sports events
(All)
Riwal arranged several sports events across all our entities to promote our employees’
physical health and well-being. Some examples of these events are the Padel Tennis
tournament in the Netherlands, the half Marathon in the Netherlands, and the sport
festivals in the UAE, Qatar and India. These sports events ensure the well-being of
our employees by reducing stress and highlighting the value of social and physical
activities.

• Riwal aims to share and increase Safety and Sustainability knowledge within the
industry. Our employees actively participated in panel discussions, magazine
interviews and webinars to share our views and expertise in those key areas. From
our CEO, to the Group International Rental Manager to the MEA Regional SHEQ
Manager, our message revolves around continuous improvement and innovation
within safety and sustainable development in the industry. Check these interviews:

A key area within Riwal’s sustainability strategy is diversity and equality for women.
At the moment, 21% of our workforce are women. We believe that increasing workplace diversity contributes to a more innovative and engaged workplace and therefore adopted the United Nations Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs) as part
of our commitment to promoting diversity and gender equality in the workplace. We

Communities
involvement (All)
• Riwal HQ participated in a Dutch National Volunteering Campaign (NLDoet) in which
employees defied the cold and the rain to help with cleaning and renovating a local
children’s playground.
• Riwal HQ , together with our IT partner CGI, have jointly pledged sponsorship of
40 students from underserved communities with scholarships for the upcoming
academic year. Our support will contribute to the Surabhi Foundation Trust and their

efforts in creating equal opportunities for underprivileged children in Bangalore, India.
• Riwal France took part in a 5km Run in the centre of Chartres as a solidarity to benefit
the fight against breast cancer.
• In Manlift UAE, a friendly football competition was organised with other organisations
to support Al Noor in raising funds for their training centre for children with disabilities.
• Riwal Denmark sponsors Danske Hospitalsklovne, or ‘Hospital Clown’, an NGO that
supports hospitalized children by creating smiles, joy and strengthened courage
during their illness.
With these initiatives, we aim to be involved with local communities and communities
in need, providing them what they need to improve their lives.
