Sustainable working at heights
From October 2018, all diesel-powered equipment has been equipped with
“cleaner” fuel Shell GTL Fuel. This
alternative fuel is made of natural gas
and burns cleaner than conventional
diesel petroleum. That results in
a reduction of particulate matter,
sulfur emissions and nitrogen oxides.
The fuel is also odorless, quieter
and biodegradable. With the use
of this fuel, Riwal works to improve
local air quality and the well-being
of employees and their working
environment.
Even greener rental fleet
In addition to the existing sustainable solutions in the fleet, such as the 100%
electric and hybrid driven equipment, Riwal wants the entire fleet of machines
to become more environmentally friendly. When we invest in new machines, we
prefer 100% electric powered equipment, because they have zero emissions
and are quieter in use. That’s how Riwal offers our customers an improved and
cleaner working environment. With this choice in mind, we will eventually have a
completely green rental fleet.
100% Electric
One of our innovative and sustainable solutions is the conversion of diesel driven
machines with a higher working height to 100% electric-powered. Our last
conversion took place in 2018 when we converted the first 43-meter telescopic
boom lift to 100% electric.
