Enhance teacher capacity and classroom environments
to ensure that children from marginalized communities,
as well as those with learning differences—whose families
may also be experiencing housing and food instability—
receive the support necessary for them to thrive.
KEY ACHIEVEMENTS
• Preparations have been finalized for a program
expansion launching in Baltimore in Spring 2025,
in partnership with the Y of Central Maryland and
HeadStart, aimed at addressing childhood trauma
through play-based methodologies.
• In the Bronx, early education outcomes improved
by training educators in trauma-informed practices
and equipping teachers to manage and address
challenging behaviors effectively.
• Rise has also expanded into Yonkers, assisting special
needs children in a local public school.
