Cadet Anaya Francis is 14 years old
and has been a Cadet for a year.
She decided to join the ACF to give
herself some structure, discipline
and to gain experience for later life.
The activities she particularly enjoys
include; camping, fieldcraft and taking
part in the Duke of Edinburgh Award
Scheme.
Gary Driscoll is an ex-Colour Serjeant
(CSjt), who served with the Royal
Green Jackets (RGJ) from 1977 to
1995 in Germany and England and
also deployed on Operational tours
in Northern Ireland. On leaving the
Army, Gary became a professional
singer. He is the Founder and
Secretary of the London Branch
of the RGJ Association, where he
organises activities throughout the
year for over 200 members, including
an increasing number of ex-RIFLES
members. Every year, Gary organises
the RGJ participation at the Cenotaph
on Remembrance Sunday.
She is proud of The Rifles Cap-Badge
she wears on her beret and is keen to
learn the history of the Regiment and
the importance of The Rifles’ Motto;
Swift and Bold.
