Hometown: Hereford
Joshua joined the ACF at the age of 12
and has amassed a number of notable
achievements. Throughout his time with
the organisation he was promoted to the
rank of Serjeant, attended an Armistice
Centenary event in 2018 and won a
number of individual sporting medals.
Recently, Joshua was a key member of
the 2019 Military Skills Team that was
placed second in the competition and
was subsequently appointed the LordLieutenant’s Cadet for Herefordshire.
Away from the ACF, Joshua plays
first team rugby and currently studies
Engineering at college.
Hometown: Hereford
Simon joined the Royal Green Jackets
in 1978 and served in the UK, Germany,
Northern Ireland, Canada and the USA.
Since leaving the Regular Army, teaching
new skills remains a large part of his life.
Complementing his work as a postman
for over thirty years, Simon is a member
Hereford & Worcester Army Cadet Force
(HWACF). He was appointed Regimental
Sergeant Major in 2017. In this role and on
behalf of the Commandant, he exercises
responsibility towards 120 Adults, 600
Cadets and their 20 Detachments.
