He completed his initialtraining at the Infantry Training Centre inCatterick before joining 1 RIFLES in late2019.Rifleman Reade Wilson-Harris joined theArmy Reserves in 2018 and is responsiblefor recruiting for E Coy 8 RIFLES, at theSparkbrook Reserve Centre. Over the pasttwo years, he has deployed to Jordan andKenya alongside 2 RIFLES where he wasgiven the opportunity to conduct live fireexercises.He was the youngest member of 7 Platoondeployed to the Falkland Islands on OpFIRIC. As a proud Brummie he has oftendescribed Birmingham as the biggesttourist attraction in the UK.Reece joined the Army to travel the world,see other countries and be exposed to avariety of cultures.A keen sportsman, Reade plays for theBattalion Football Team, and has takenpart in a skiing Adventurous TrainingExercise in France. Being an ArmyReservist with The Rifles has taught himmany different skills and has given himfriends for life.Hometown: BirminghamZaynah Joined the CCF in Year 8 and hasbeen the main stay of the contingent.She has worked hard to achieve heradvanced star level, along with completingher Methods of Instruction (MOI) course.Earlier this year she completed herLevel 2 Award for Young Leaders, whichwas presented virtually, by BrigadierSC Williams OBE, Deputy CommanderCadets. Zaynah is also very active withinAcademy life, where she is also part of thechoir. Zaynah has signed up for the SilverDuke of Edinburgh Award, of which it ishoped to be completed by July 2021.Hometown: BirminghamMark joined 2nd Battalion the RoyalGreen Jackets (RGJ) in Minden, WestGermany, in 1984. He initially joined an SFPlatoon but subsequently moved to a RifleCompany as a 432 driver. On posting toIBD Warminster, he became a gunner on aWarrior Infantry Fighting Vehicle. Followinga tour in Northern Ireland, Mark movedto Light Division Depot, Winchester as aPhysical Training Instructor and after abrief spell with 2RGJ in Cyprus, he left theArmy in 1994.Mark has been a Police Officer for nearly30 years, the last 15 of which as a FirearmsOfficer, specialising in Close Protection.
