Reser’s strives to be an Employer of Choice. In fact, it is so important
to us that it is one of our company Cornerstones. This means we are
committed to investing in employee growth and creating a culture of
belonging where employees want to build a lasting career.
Our people are the key to our success, we strive to make sure
our environment is one where every employee feels a sense of
belonging. We invest in this from the first day on the job where our
plant Training Specialists provide new hire orientation and training to
help employees gain a better understanding of the company, their
role and the importance of food and workplace safety. We then
conduct several check-in surveys and discussions in the first 30 days,
which help us to address any items that need more focus during the
onboarding process. This helps us to understand how new employees
are doing, and what we can do better to support them.
We also take time to appreciate the hard work of our employees
through a variety of ways including employee celebration events,
employee of the year awards, or other forms of recognition. Part
of retaining employees is giving them an opportunity to grow their
careers, and with over 40% of our exempt level roles being filled
through internal promotion we continue to make the investment in
our people.
