Al Reser steps down as
President, passing the
role to his son Mark.
In 2010, Al Reser passes
New Capitol Plant
opens in Pasco, WA, and
growth continues. The
cornerstones of Al Reser’s
philosophy rested on
customer service, food
safety, consistency and
value. We continue to live
by this policy, providing
the highest quality
service and food to the

we serve—as a company,
and as a family.
Grandma Mildred began
making Mrs. Reser’s
Salads in her Cornelius,
Oregon kitchen, selling
them to Safeway
stores, and eventually
expanding to a small
20×50 plant in Cornelius.
Mrs. Reser’s Salads
becomes Reser’s Fine
Foods, with Al Reser
as president. Al takes
the company public
in 1961, expands to a
35,000-square-foot
facility, grows the routes
distribution system
and diversifies the
product line.
Reser’s expands with the
opening of a Salad Plant
and Potato Facility in
Topeka, KS, and later a
Potato Plant in Pasco, WA,
while also acquiring
La Siesta Foods to
enhance burrito and
tortilla offerings.
