2021 marks sixty years of business for Rhythm Band Instruments.
While we sprang from modest beginnings, RBI has been a leader in elementary
products for as long as we’ve been in business. The early years saw Tommy and
Woods Moore operating from the loft of Ault Music in downtown Fort Worth.
To keep up with demand, the Moores expanded to a three-story warehouse and
manufacturing facility just east of downtown. From there the business flourished.
Of course, you simply can’t have a conversation about our company without
Bob and Laura Bergin. From the mid-seventies, until 2007, Bob and Laura built
relationships with music supervisors and educators across the country. To this day,
their broad influence is felt in everything we do for our elementary music educators.
Innovation, quality, and value, with a good dose of personal attention, are the
qualities we learned from Bob and Laura, and we do our very best to carry those on
today.
Since 2008, we’ve grown tremendously, expanding into broader music markets and
along the way adding brands such as Boomwhackers®, Toca Percussion®, and Grover
Pro Percussion®. We continue to grow and expand, but we know the legacy of the
company is RBI’s elementary music products, and the educators and employees who
have made us successful. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you.
