With a wonderful blend of ‘old’ and
‘new era’ the V72FTB features a neck
mounted Wilkinson WDG mini double
coil ceramic pickup, which produces
a focussed broad spectrum tone,
allied to the classic voice of a
Wilkinson Alnico V WVTB housed in
a Wilkinson WTB bridge, with its
cold rolled steel ‘ashtray’ base and
intonated brass saddles.
The traditional hardtail configuration, with its
six saddle strings thru-body, direct mount bridge
adds an additional layer of tonality, power and
dynamics to the Wilkinson WHHB with their
harmonically rich tone, tight lower frequency
response and controlled highs.

All the features that have made this semi-hollow model
immensely popular with guitar players around the world
remain. These include an alder body with f-hole, hard rock
maple neck with classic Vintage ‘soft C’ profile for instant
comfort, speed and accuracy and, a 22 fret rosewood
fingerboard for outstanding tonal transfer.
