32 3 WEST KENT NEWS | ISSUE NO.13 SUMMER 2024
MESSAGE FROM THE EDITOR
Brethren All,
It struck me as I was editing this issue, how important
Charity is to us all. In my day job I am Director of HR for
Dementia UK who are a large national charity, I am also
Chair of the Board of Trustees for Bexley Mencap, and a
Board member for Toybox, a Christian international street
children’s charity. Having dedicated my working life to
supporting the Charity sector, I thought it appropriate to let
you all know what a difference each of you make, and how
every pound counts and does indeed change lives.
The amazing charitable accomplishments of our Province
make me so proud to say that I am a West Kent Mason. In
particular knowing that within this Province we are so
committed to supporting the Masonic Charitable
Foundation and the Charity sector more broadly.
With the sector still recovering from the impact of the
lockdowns and the cost of living crisis, all the support we
give is gratefully received and faithfully applied. As a
leader within a major national Charity, I thought it
appropriate to say THANK YOU to you all!
On a separate matter, please remember that the West
Kent Magazine is there for you all, and we aim to cater for
a range of interests. Therefore if you have an article you
wish to submit, don’t feel limited by your writing ability, get
in touch with me to discuss your ideas and you will receive
all the support you need to get your ideas onto paper.
Kindest and Fraternal regards,
Nando Caicedo
