ISSUE NO.13 SUMMER 2024 | WEST KENT NEWS 20
We are taught to be responsible
citizens who contribute positively to
society. This includes upholding the
law, participating in civic activities,
and working towards the common
good. By emphasising responsibility,
Freemasonry
aims
to
create
individuals who are not only morally
upright but also active and engaged
members of their communities.
The moral principles of Freemasonry
— Integrity, Friendship, Respect and
Service
—
form
the
ethical
foundation of our fraternity. Through
its
teachings
and
practices,
Freemasonry seeks to develop us as
virtuous individuals who contribute
positively to society. By adhering to
these principles, we should strive to
create a better world, one guided by
the enduring values of morality and
virtue.
By
embracing
our
masonic
principals,
by
continuing
our
masonic learning and personal
development, as Freemasons we
can make a positive difference, to
each other, to our families, to our
friends and to the wider community.
The Provincial Grand Master was delighted to welcome V.W.Bro Kessick Jones, PGSwdB, in his
capacity as The Most Illustrious Grand Master of the Grand Council of Royal and Select Masters, to the
Provincial Investiture meeting on Friday 14 June.
In his greeting, he stated how wonderful it was to have in attendance, especially given his long and
dedicated service to our Province over many years.
As a member of your his very special Order, he was delighted to attend the Grand Council meeting
where the Order not only celebrated its 150th anniversary, but the launch of the Sesquicentenary Appeal
to raise £150,000 to be distributed to good causes.
The Province of West Kent was of course very keen to support that endeavour and it gave the Provincial
Grand Master particular pleasure to present the Grand Master with a cheque for £1,000 toward this
wonderful appeal.
