WEST KENT NEWS | ISSUE NO.13 SUMMER 2024
meeting at Oakley House on July
12th.
PROVINCIAL ROYAL ARCH
Back in April we launched the
8Archway9 initiative combined with
a Royal Arch presentation to our
RALOs and CMOs, this was very
well received and we had a
number of distinguished guests
from our neighbouring Provinces
in attendance who were very
impressed with the proceedings;
as you would expect unfortunately
we couldn't accommodate every
RALO and CMO in the Province
at this event therefore we are
currently working on arranging
another launch for those who
couldn't attend the first one further details will be made
available in due course.

In early June the Manor of
Bexley Chapter carried out an
incredible 8 Exaltations in one
meeting and the ceremony lost
none of the personal impact!!! So
Chapters and Companions if you
are
considering
a
multiple
Exaltation ceremony but are
unsure of the protocols or the
conduction of the ceremony
please get in touch with any
member of the RAMDT for further
advice or guidance or the
Provincial Grand Director of
Ceremonies E Comp Norman
Rose, we would be only too glad
to assist.
Our RALOs will be pleased to
hear that our Craft membership
team will be holding a training
seminar for them and other Lodge
officers on Wednesday 24th July
at Oakley House, this will be the
perfect opportunity for our RALOs
to receive new training skills as
an integral part of the Lodge
Membership Team, please ensure
you are booked into what will be a
hugely beneficial and popular
event.

RETRIEVAL OFFICER:
What is ARCHWAY?
This role sits within the West Kent
Royal
Arch
Membership
Development Team and is support
the MEGS Membership Retention
Strategy.
Archway is designed for Royal Arch
Chapters to help shape their future,
grow
their
membership
and
enhance
their
member9s
experience. It is based on extensive
research of what our members want
4and
what
works
well
in
successful,
thriving
Chapters
across our Constitution.
On a practical side, my role is to
work with Members, Chapters, and
the Provincial team to retain
members in the wonderful order
that is the Holy Royal Arch.
Many of the challenges that
Chapters face are different to
Lodges. Archway is therefore not a
simple translation of the Members9
Pathway into the Royal Arch, and
so has been developed separately.
I am here to support individual
members who wish to leave the
order or with Chapters that are
handing back their warrants.
However, some of the challenges
are similar.
What is the role of the Provincial
Royal Arch Retrieval Officer?
If need be, I can assist with
identifying another Chapter that
suits an individual9s needs and
availability, whether it be location,
day or time of meetings.
If you are thinking of leaving the
Royal Arch speak to your Scribe E,
Mentor or by all means contact me
directly.

Archway aims to help Chapters
become more vibrant and more
enjoyable, so that every Companion
looks forward to their next meeting
with enthusiasm. Resources to
enhance understanding of the
Royal Arch are also provided along
with advice for attracting new
members, and for supporting every
member of the Chapter.
It is based on four Arch Stones,
providing a structured approach to
grow your Chapter and enjoy your
Royal Arch Masonry:
-Shape - Building on the past,
looking to the future;
-Grow - Helping more people
continue their journey;
-Involve - Participation is the
essence of a good Chapter;
-Enjoy 3 Happy have we met!
