are considered by some to be a
low Provincial promotion yet they
could not be more wrong. Every

and usually receives another

becoming one. Many times it is an

position

the
commitment they have shown not
only to the chapter but the
Province.

I have always seen the DC9s
office as one where you work with
people encouraging them to be
the best they can. This can only
be achieved as a team and not an
individual. I have had the
privilege to have worked with
some
wonderful
masons
throughout my career. Some who
have gone onto supporting this
Province in higher office.
The phrase 8it is better to win the
hearts and minds of Brethren and
Companions than rule over their
lives and fortune9 is something I
try to work by.
Now as I come to the end as an
Assistant to the Provincial Grand
Principals in the Royal Arch, I am
on another path but will still be
working hard to promote the West
Kent Province in particular and
Freemasonry in general.
Best wishes to you all

ASSISTANT TO THE
PROVINCIAL GRAND
PRINCIPALS:
DAVID CAMPBELL
As we look forward to the summer
break we are also looking forward
to Provincial Grand Chapter at
Oakley house. This will be a
celebration and opportunity to look
back at a very successful year in
Royal Arch in our province. We will
be able to commemorate with our
companions who receive their
provincial honors from the Grand
Superintendent which is richly
deserved.
I have been privileged to be a
member of the Executive team for
the last thirteen years having been
Provincial Almoner for ten years
and recently as Assistant to the
Provincial
Grand
Principals.
Throughout this time, I have
enjoyed visiting chapters and
meeting
companions
in
the
province and have always been
happy to offer advice and support
where needed.
The provincial team has introduced
many initiatives to support the
membership
challenge.
The
introduction of visiting officers to
chapters has been exciting and to
see
how
this
scheme
has
strengthened
the
relationship
between chapter and the provincial
team has been rewarding. I would
like to thank my Group One visiting
officers for their support and
enthusiasm in performing this
important and rewarding duty.
This is a stimulating time for Royal
Arch with many initiatives to
develop further, like the Chapter
Membership Officers and Royal
Arch Liaison Officers and the
introduction of Archway.
It is now time for me to step down
from my duties as APGP and I
16
would
like
to
congratulate
Yashwant and Robert as they take
on this office. My time with the
executive
team
has
been
enjoyable and rewarding and I
know for certain that Yashwant
and Robert will feel the same and
will complement the team in their
motivation
and
direction
of
leadership for Royal Arch in the
province.
I
would
like
to
wish
all
Companions
and
prospective
Companions well for their masonic
journey and advancement in the
province.
HEAD OF ROYAL ARCH
MEMBERSHIP DEVELOPMENT:
VINCE LETHBRIDGE
Companions
I'm delighted to report that the
Royal Arch in West Kent is going
from strength to strength, many of
the unique initiatives that have
been initiated by the Royal Arch
Membership Development Team
(RAMDT) are now showing fruition,
our first quarter membership
results were very encouraging and
the second quarter is looking
equally promising.
The MEGS Membership Incentive
Scheme has proved to be very
successful with the majority of
Chapters in the Province having
participated in the program, our
sincere thanks go to these
Chapters
together
with
their
Companions who have worked
tirelessly throughout the year by
supporting the Royal Arch and
encouraging their friends and
colleagues to complete the fourth
element of their Masonic journey;
these Chapters and individuals
may now be considered to be
eligible for an incentive scheme
award to be presented at this
year9s Provincial Grand Chapter
