Housing Affordability
The National Low Income Housing Coalition reports each year on the amount of money a household must
earn in order to afford a rental unit based on Fair Market Rents in the area and an accepted limit of 30%
of income for housing costs.
Vacancy Rates
The U.S. Census Bureau provides vacancy data based on American Community Survey 50year estimates
(2015 0 2019). Vacancy rates for the report area are reported below.
Vacant non0rental housing totals 755 units and includes those for sale only and sold but not occupied. For
the report area, which is a non0rental housing vacancy rate of 1.19%, in comparison the national rate is
