Feels there a lot of good things out there, but people are not aware of how to connect or access the
programs.
We provide so many services and a one stop agency and able to connect to many other services.
We care and strive to improve the lives and working hard to support trauma informed
experiences.
Focus Group: Steuben Human Services Committee
• Appreciates how Pro Action moves quickly when a situation arises.
• PAs COVID Development Programs were a huge help to the community, and the speed it was
implemented in was noticed.
• Grateful for the speed PA was able to help the recent flood victims. (Pro Action worked with
several agencies to help with this initiative.)
• Grateful for the collaboration of public, county, & state programs - we all work together well.
Areas are always willing to help each other where they can. Outside of our county, which isn't
always the case.
• Also has heard feedback about how well our partners work so well together here. Unheard of
collaboration - She appreciates the opportunity to share some of our strengths.
• Appreciates the leadership of Pro Action with trauma informed practices, ACES, toxic stress, etc.
Top to bottom, everyone at PA works in the same mindset, with shared values, and in alignment
on how to best provide care in community. She sees the alignment of our mission and our vision!
Using a trauma informed approach, PA is the leader in the sciences, and she appreciates our
leadership sharing this information with their organizations - on how important it is and how it
works. The genuineness of PA's work is commendable.
• The number of organizations we have is great.
• Coordination is a focus, and we do our best to ensure we don't duplicate funding.
• Multiple places are funded, and we make sure it gets to those that need it!
Focus Group: Yates OFA Advisory Council
YATES COUNTY: informal supports (friends, family, neighbors); community support with identifying
needs and serving those needs; church and faith community support; strong senior volunteer base; many
grassroot organizations; private foundations to grant funding; strong community organizations;
Mennonite community support; governmental leaders properly budgeting and coordinating funds for the
needs of the community.

• We're working on these! We're trying!! Work in progress!!!
• It's okay - we realize we've gone through a lot. It's okay - we acknowledge that! That hug - it's
okay – I understand!!!
• All of the people in the community, service providers are really trying hard! We're doing the best
we can do!
• In Yates, you can reach out to other providers, and they'll try their best!
• PA does a great job at addressing these issues! Put yourself out there more. When first on the
board, some people weren't open to putting themselves out there. Do more outreach!
• Resilience, inclusivity---all of our values that we promote., these are strengths! Promote these
more!
• These focus groups have been refreshing to have such great participation! Thank you for your
service!
