Continue to expand weatherization, NYSERDA, Furnace Replacement, Clean and Tune, and
Cooling.
Expand available funds to more fully assist customers with paying for auto repairs, auto
insurance, registration, license and suspension fees.
Expand Early Head Start to promote school readiness earlier for more children.
Expand center-based Early Head Start to provide the break from child care expenses for
participating families. Assess whether to add center-based or home-based Early Head Start in
Penn Yan.
Take steps to assure ongoing availability of services that promote independent living and
participation in community life among older residents.
Expand knowledge of Children and Family Health Home Services to assist families with mental
health and substance abuse services.
Promote smoking cessation among customers and families.
o Partner with county Public Health Departments and/or local healthcare organizations to
make smoking cessation treatments conveniently available to enrolled customers.
o Empower enrolled customers to lead smoking cessation support groups.
Promote nutrition and exercise among children and families served by Pro Action programs
