▪ Pro Action should be preparing to change how they do business to attract the new generation
work force and the employment practices that we now see can and will work and are
foundational to Gen Z and younger millennials.
▪ Pro Action should be prepared to pick up the slack when other agencies cannot or will not.
▪ I think that the best thing that we can do is try and help our customers plan for a time when
support programs are less available, and landlords can easily evict for non-payment. We know
that planning can often be a struggle for our customers, so I think we owe it to them and at least
try and lend a helping hand.
▪ We should advocate to raise eligibility levels for services. The recent budget has raised
eligibility for child care fee assistance to 300% of FPL. Let's hope Head Start and CSBG follow
suit.
▪ Pro Action can continue its work to educate the public and combat myths about people with low
incomes. We need to appeal to people's value of compassion, and in this manner build political
will for policies that will help families with low incomes.
▪ We have learned to be prepared as best we can for whatever comes around the corner. Pro
Action is very good at utilizing whatever they have for what comes up.
▪ I don't know what we need to be ready for exactly, but I think we are making that roadmap and
asking questions to find out from those in need the most.
