Julian Philips’ exquisite new work for actor and chamber ensemble entwines John Clare’s
poetry with reimagined renderings of the Northamptonshire ‘Melodys’ Clare collected
as a fiddle-player; whilst Façade, Walton’s break-through ‘entertainment’ from 1923,
setting the poetry of Edith Sitwell, is performed in a new edition authorised by the William
Walton Trust.
